Dave founded Zynn + Associates, LLC after recognizing the need in the market that small to mid-sized businesses and growth stage companies with the challenge of navigating financial and accounting issues face without the recourse of having to employ a full-time CFO.

What is a Fractional CFO?

A Fractional CFO is a professional with extensive financial executive experience who provides strategic financial consulting to businesses on a part-time or project basis.

The role of a Fractional CFO goes beyond traditional accounting, bringing strategic perspectives, prior experiences and offering insights into planning, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, fundraising or bank relationships and improved reporting.

Dave Zynn, Partner

Dave has over 35 years of experience in the business world. Starting his career with KPMG and then moving into various CFO roles with both private and public companies. Throughout his career Dave has raised or assisted others with raising over $150 million of financing and has assisted many companies to navigate growth and challenges to achieve successful exits for the owners and investors.

Dave also brings over twelve years of operating experience, having served as COO, President and CEO of several companies. Combining his financial experience and operational experience brings tremendous value to his clients.

When Dave is not serving his clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, traveling and playing golf.

Rebecca Newman, Financial Leader

Financial Leader with over 35 years of experience providing financial/accounting and general business expertise. Rebecca has experience in both consulting and internal positions in private industry, energy, start-up entities, and non-profit. She has served a variety of consulting clients in the areas of temporary CFO/Controller, M&A due diligence, business process reengineering, financial reporting, and system implementations (Sage, Quickbooks, MS products).

Lacoda Darling, Senior Staff Accountant

Lacoda is an accomplished, results-oriented, former Big 4 Accountant with over 10 years of diverse experience in financial and accounting management. She is ready to assist our many diverse clients with her expertise and keen eye for process improvement.

When she’s not working, she enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her kids. They love going on nature hikes, bird watching, and taking peaceful walks by the lakes. She also stays busy with home improvement projects—there’s always something new to fix or build! On the weekends, you’ll often find her on the sidelines cheering at her kids’ sporting events.

Julie Walsh, Administrative Manager

Julie has over 30 years of experience supporting C-Suite executives. She began her career in big pharma with Fortune 500 company Glaxo-SmithKline. Finding her passion in supporting upstart businesses and being a partner in building them from the ground up, she has since worked at several smaller venture capital companies.

Julie brings a unique perspective to the intricacies of what makes a business run – from daily operations to building a healthy culture. As the Administrative Manager at Zynn + Associates, she’s not just here to keep the wheels turning; she’s here to ensure our award-winning leadership team has the freedom to focus on your company’s innovation and growth.

Outside the office, you’ll find Julie singing or doing voiceover work. Having recently moved to Orlando, there’s a good chance you’ll find her at a Disney park with her husband and adult children.
